Chaplaincy Ministry for Health Care Centers

Welcome to our new site, browse and enjoy!

Time To Catch Up ...

Well, it’s been quite a while since I wrote a newsletter article. Many things have transpired since my last writing. There have been times of rejoicing and times that have been challenging. First, I would like to speak on the challenges. For the past four years, the Chaplaincy Ministry has been waiting for Non-Profit Organization status from the IRS. This status allows the Chaplaincy Ministry to apply for grants for our ministry’s programs that reach out to the elderly, infirmed and developmentally disabled in our area healthcare centers. It also allows a person to give a charitable gift from their financial investment institution. By the GRACE of GOD, and a lot of patience, our 501[c]3 non-profit determination has been granted! Information is posted on our donate page. Another challenge was the shortfall of donations during the summer. Funds were at a critical level. But again, by the GRACE of GOD, many folks and churches came forward with generous financial gifts. We are able to finish 2014 in the black. Thanks to all to responded with their prayers and gifts. A great lesson is to be learned about God’s grace and intervention during times that try our faith. Jesus said, “But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” [Matthew 6:33, 34] The troubles of the day are walked through with Jesus at our side. With that reassurance, we endure sufferings often receiving blessings to follow. The Chaplaincy Picnic on October 5th was a huge success! 84 Baskets and other items at the Silent Auction raised $2118.00! The total raised at the Picnic is still being calculated. Other ways to help the Chaplaincy are the Perkin’s Perks Program [print coupon from our website] that runs until Dec. 31st. On Tuesday, November 4th, Parkview Restaurant in Sheboygan Falls will donate a portion of all their sales from 3pm to 8pm to the Chaplaincy. Here are many ways to donate, but your prayers are most important for this ministry to continue in 2015. Plans are underway for the 2015 Chaplaincy Fundraiser Picnic. The response of favorable comments on the 2014 picnic held at 3 Guys and a Pizza Pie Banquet Hall in Elkhart Lake, means we will be there again next year! On Sunday, October 4, 2015 starting at HIGH NOON is the Chaplaincy Round-Up. Our theme is “Happy Trails to You”. Shine up your spurs and dust off your cowboy hat and join us for a rip-roaring time. KG and The Ranger will be performing rope tricks and singing the songs of Gene Autry, Roy Rogers and Dale Evans and many more. We hope to see you there. Yee-Haw!
